Umps is an new comer in the aged care industry. Their intelligent devices support independence at home by monitoring usual daily activity with discreet smart plugs placed around the home. Earlier this year Umps teamed up with Studio 21 to rebrand, redesign and redevelop their visual aesthetic online and in print, in order to align their brand with the quality of their product.
The problem: Umps exists to enable a smarter kind of care for a better way of living. The team at Umps felt that this proposition didn’t come across in their branding, website or printed material. The website user experience was dated and lacked brand consistency (sounds like a perfect job for Studio 21 hey!).
Our solution: The Umps brand personality needed to come across as ‘Technical, Connected, Human and Caring’. The overlapping hearts within the logo, creating the universal symbol for health, as well as the linear connected lines ticked all these boxes. The logo presents as fresh, modern and stands out in the aged care industry. The website design is modern, simple and friendly. With only 1 product for sale educating the user was key – and the end result is a very clean user experience.
