Secret Gardens
Secret Gardens believe that a house is just a house until absorbed into a garden, only then can you call it a home.
Secret Gardens is a Sydney based company specialising in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction and Design. Following a recent rebrand, the Secret Gardens team reached out to Studio 21 to design and develop their new website.
The Problem
The problem was a simple one. The previous website did not reflect the new brand, nor did it best showcase the high end work Secret Gardens provided to so many happy clients. What the website was doing well was ranking highly for organic search terms in Google. A major part of this project was to maintain and improve their SEO rankings, while at the same time elevating the design, functionality and aesthetic of the site. The final part of the problem, was their need to scale the site over time. The new site needed to be able to be updated easily, and managed internally as much as possible.
Our Solution
Studio 21 set out and designed the new Wordpress website inline with the new brand guidelines, taking into consideration the teams desire for fluid, non-structured page layouts. With a heavy focus on photography, minimal text and subtle micro animations, the design allowed Secret Gardens phenomenal work to shine through. Technically, we maintained all previous URLs, keywords and meta data in order to be non-detrimental to SEO rankings. We optimised the site for performance, with page loads of under 2 seconds – in turn improving rankings even further. And finally, the Wordpress CMS was fully customised to allow future updates to be made internally for all pages on the site. Needless to say, Secret Gardens team were more than happy with the final outcome – as were we.
